Melyssa Ford biography

Melyssa Savannah Ford, also known as "Jessica Rabbit", was born on the 7th of November, 1980 in Toronto, Canada. She is a model and actress and has West Indian, Russian and Norwegian ancestors. With her 5'4" height and her dream measures (34-22-36) she is the latest model symbol in the entertainment industry.

Melyssa's passion for performing began at an early age. She had appearances in various school plays, such as Beauty and the Beast. Melyssa then became the star of several independent films and got a good role in Showtime's hit series "Soul Food" and the UPN's "Platinum". Melyssa also decided to continue her studies at York University in Toronto, studying forensic psychology. She hoped that one day she would grow up to work for CSIS, within their behavioral and science unit. Melyssa desired to help develop character studies on high profile.
Melyssa Ford studied forensic psychology at the York University, until Little X discovered her at a Toronto club where she was working as a barmaid. Little X helped her launch her modeling career. Melyssa Ford had appearances in several music videos, magazines (XXL and King Magazine), television and films.

After that, offers for editorial work began to appear. Miss Ford got a job offer to host a website show (produced by the Vice-President of Bad Boy Entertainment) which was the motive for the major change in Melyssa's life. The only problem was to relocate her in New York City. So, Melyssa left home and school with only two suitcases and $25 dollars to fulfill her dream. And so she became the host of the website show named "Lifestyles of the Phat and the Phabulous".

It was short until others became aware of Melyssa's talents. Black Men's Magazine selected her to be their model for the swimsuit issue in the fall of 2001. The Magazine was so captivated by Melyssa's beauty that they gave her the cover. She also got on the cover of the Ebony Rider Calendar, the edition for the year 2002. Sales for this calendar surpassed the sales of all five years previous combined.

She hosted BET's "How I'm Livin'" series in March 2004, and currently Melyssa Ford is the host of BET's lifestyle show. She has a monthly advice column in the Smooth Magazine. Melyssa also has a line of calendars and DVDs which are very successful.
